Exploration

The Company’s portfolio of tenements is predominantly focused on mineral sands, with the exception of four contiguous tenements in the eastern goldfields that host gold mineralisation.

The total area of all of Image’s tenements is 1,550 square kilometres. All tenements are located in Western Australia and all mineral sands tenements are located in the North Perth Basin. The gold tenements are located approximately 120km southeast of Kalgoorlie.

As Image is an established mining company, exploration activities are largely focused on the development of known Mineral Resources. The exploration team does however, look to identify conceptual geological models that may host unidentified mineralisation for geophysics and/or test drilling.  

In CY2023, drilling was focused on upgrading Yandanooka Mineral Resources to the Measured category as defined by the JORC Code 2012. Future drilling will focus on similar upgrading of Mineral Resources for the Bidaminna project. Future drilling will also likely test for deeper, higher grade gold mineralisation at the Company’s Erayinia/King gold project southeast of Kalgoorlie.
