Who We Are

Image Resources has established its credentials as a competent explorer, successful developer and responsible mine operator of the Boonanarring project for the benefit of all stakeholders.

The Boonanarring project, located 80km north of Perth in Western Australia, was developed on-time and on-budget in 2018 generating a total revenue of nearly $800 million over the 5-year life of the project through to December 2023.  Strong cashflows and profitability enabled the company to complete the early repayment of its debt in February 2021, as well as the payment of significant dividends to shareholders in 2021 and 2022.

Image Resources actively supports and promotes a safe, inclusive and positive workplace and culture. As well as receiving competitive remuneration, all employees are entitled to participate in annual bonus programmes and employee share plans.

The Company has been actively engaged in environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives informally since the start of mining activities in 2018, including proactively measuring, tracking, and reporting its greenhouse gas emissions, engaging in community support projects, and using a solar farm to offset 25% of its electricity requirements with renewable energy, even though sufficient grid power was conveniently available. The use of solar power at its Boonanarring project provided Image with green credentials and positioned the Company as one of the very first mining companies in Australia to directly utilise solar energy to offset a substantial portion of its electrical requirements from the grid, thereby significantly reducing its carbon emissions.

Image adopted formal ESG protocols in 2022 and in May 2023, published its inaugural sustainability report covering four full years of operational data from the Boonanarring project.

The Company has assisted local landowners in their efforts to establish field trials in conjunction with Murdoch University, to demonstrate agricultural land treatment practices to accelerate the carbon sequestration capacity of local soils.

Image is actively investigating opportunities for the production and use of green hydrogen using the existing or expanded solar facilities at the Boonanarring project, as well as investigating the potential for small-scale pumped hydro utilising the elevation differences created from the mine void.
